Discovering God's Direction for Life

God is Good!

Below are some brief testimonies of how God is at work in and around the WBC family.

"Barry Roop, my nephew, fell from a 35 ft. power pole hitting high voltage wires, badly burning his hands. The doctors at Baptist Hospital gave him very little encouragement that he would use his hands again, and would probably lose at least one of them. I brought him before the church for prayer and many people prayed and gave us encouragement during the eight weeks he was at Baptist. His left hand was the worst and would probably be amputated. Our pastor, Eric, spent much time with he and his wife and was there through all his surgeries. Barry was 250 miles from home and very scared. Eric reassured him, volunteering to be his pastor while he was away from his church. Thank God for Eric Peacock.
Now, that left hand wouldn't die. It stayed warm and the doctors couldn't explain it. Upon further examination, they found that Barry had an extra artery in his arm. That was where the blood flow was coming from. If that doesn't say "God is good" nothing does.
Barry is now home in Virginia. He has a lot of rehab to do, but he has both hands. Praise the Lord...God is good!"         ~Don Evans

"When I am in my deepest valley of concerns, God is good ... He pulls me out of it. When I feel totally alone and abandoned, God is good ... He shows me that He is right there with me. When I am uncertain about many things, God is good ... He shows me that I can be certain and confident. When I feel like I will explode with joy for no real reason, God is good ... He lets me know that He gave me that joy. GOD IS GOOD!"          ~Lee Rodgers
